June 2026 write-up

Our original meetup in June was rescheduled due to the heat wave but on July 5, seven us of met up for boardgames.

Participants: Apostolos, Bart, Fierman, Martijn, Nick, Rob, Vasiliy  

 This was the first meeting held on a Sunday and the plan is to make this a recurring day (maybe every third month or so).

Fierman, Vasiliy and NIck played Holland'44 with Fierman again directing the airborne troops while Nick controlled XXX Corsp and other British army units. Vasiliy played the Germans. XXX Corps was not as fast up the highway as historically (we live and we learn) but by the end of turn 4, it was across the canal and near Eindhoven.

Bart and Apsotolos played Flying Colors, with the British (Apostolos) and Bart (French) dealing out damage in nearly equal measure.

Finally, Rob and Martijn played that Golden Oldie: Up Front.
