"Market Garden" operation anniversary

Exactly 82 years ago, on 17th of September 1944, operation Market Garden started. When I cycled some days ago part of the operation's route in opposite direction I found no resistance, but freedom: also because all brave people flying and driving in the night to strike as a sword into the belly of the monster.

Operation itself didn't end as expected due to miscalculations and underestimation of the enemy, the same mistake, which brought nazis to collapse in the end. Many military and civilian people died trying to overcome the hateful regime: war continued and Hunger Winter came to Netherlands. But their determination (and many more people's on East Front) to fight the evil brought us the freedom - this fragile present. which we need to cherish.

I wish this land will never see oppression again and only wargames will remind us about that tough times.

My scenario for "Veil of Command" covering operation Market Garden is in progress: all important historical commanders and divisions are prepared. Map and 3d models are in progress to be tested by myself. In few months I may post more and propose test games again.
